It's the first day of school for the animal friends of Gasparilla. Little do they know that a fantastic adventure awaits and that sometimes the most important lessons aren't always learned in the classroom.
The Friends of Gasparilla tells the story of the wild animals who lived on Gasparilla Nature Preserve, Florida, where the author's family had a home for several years.
Written by Clive Wilson for his grandchildren, and illustrated by his daughter-in-law artist Donna Wilson, you too can now share the fun and adventures of The Friends of Gasparilla in this exciting new book that children will enjoy.
All profits from the sale of the book will be donated to the Lisa Wilson Scholarship Fund, a registered charity set up in memory of the authors daughter Lisa.

About the Charity
The Lisa Wilson Scholarship Fund is available to help young people with the cost of higher education.
The charity was started following the death of the author’s daughter Lisa in a car accident in Australia in 2002. Lisa was just 23 years old and she had graduated from Solent University with a BA 2-1 in Business Management. Following her graduation her reward to herself was a trip around the world. It was on this journey she tragically died en route to Uluru / Ayes Rock.
Following her death the Wilson family decided to start the charity to keep Lisa’s memory alive. The Charity gives bursaries of £1000 a year for up to three years to young adults who have overcome adversity or can demonstrate why they need additional financial support.
Over the last 17 years, Lisa’s fund has enabled young people to access higher education who may not have been able to otherwise.
This money is to help them fulfill their educational dreams and ambitions in the same way that Lisa did. To date the charity has raised over £291,000 and 100 students have benefitted from the bursaries.
Thanks to the support and dedication from Lisa’s family, her fund has made a major contribution to the development of the university and to the lives of many students.
This is an amazing legacy to Lisa’s memory. For more information about the charity or to make a donation visit www.lisathedaddy.com
